AI Security for Sensitive Data: Best Practices and Guidelines

AI systems introduce data exposure risks that traditional DLP tools cannot address because data moves through conversational and agentic flows rather than fixed transfer points. Four primary exposure vectors are identified: model training ingestion, prompt storage and retrieval, output leakage via memorization, and shadow AI tool use.
