Anthropic gives @Claude a permanent seat in your Slack channels

Anthropic has launched Claude Tag, a beta product for Enterprise and Team plan customers that embeds Claude as a persistent, shared AI presence in Slack channels. Unlike the previous on-demand integration, Claude Tag gives Claude its own identity and dedicated service accounts across connected tools (GitHub, data warehouses, etc.), allowing it to work asynchronously on long-running tasks, monitor conversations proactively in ambient mode, and be steered collaboratively by multiple team members.
