Key highlights include the disaggregated architecture that separates replication from transaction isolation and storage, the use of Optimistic Concurrency Control (OCC) to prevent client blocking and avoid metastable failures, strongly consistent scalable reads, and pushing scan operations down to storage near local SSDs.
