Barracuda makes security logs conversational with Genie
Barracuda's Managed XDR team built an AI-Powered Log Search feature using Databricks Genie that lets security analysts query logs in plain English instead of SQL. The system handles multi-vendor log schemas (WatchGuard, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Microsoft 365, AWS) and enforces strict multi-tenant isolation via Unity Catalog secure views with row-level filtering. Multi-turn conversations are supported, letting analysts iteratively refine queries. The result: routine log investigations dropped from hours to minutes, and recurring SOC analyst requests dropped by an estimated 83–100 hours per month. Tenant isolation is enforced at the data layer through secure views and a query validator, not in the prompt or application code.
