CAI cloud worm gives competitors' malware the boot, then steals secrets and mines for coin
A cloud worm dubbed CAI has been discovered that actively removes competing malware from infected systems before proceeding to steal credentials and mine cryptocurrency. The worm operates in a dog-eat-dog fashion, evicting rival attackers' tools to monopolize compromised cloud environments for its own credential harvesting and cryptomining operations.
