DIY Steam Controller Puck Offers Xbox, Switch, PlayStation Emulation Modes

The OpenPuck project lets you build a DIY wireless receiver puck for the new Valve Steam Controller using the affordable Pro Micro NRF52840 board. The creator reverse-engineered and documented the Steam Controller's wireless protocol, enabling the DIY puck to pair with the controller just like the official one. A key advantage over the factory puck is support for Xbox, Switch, and PlayStation controller emulation modes, making the Steam Controller usable outside of Steam. Charging is handled separately via USB-C, so the lack of charging in OpenPuck is not a blocker.
