Cequence Security introduces Intent Graph, a composable behavioral fingerprinting framework for bot detection that computes a five-segment behavioral fingerprint from independently configurable algorithms. Unlike static fingerprinting approaches that attackers can defeat by rotating IP addresses, user-agent strings, or request structures, Intent Graph focuses on behavioral intent — what an automated entity is trying to accomplish — which remains consistent even as surface-level signals change. Two real-world incidents illustrate its effectiveness: one where an attacker iterated in real time against blocking policies, and another where a campaign generated nearly 300,000 distinct behavioral profiles in a single day.
