Manna Aero, an Irish autonomous drone delivery startup, is building a US operations and manufacturing centre in Tulsa, Oklahoma, set to employ around 1,000 people. Funded by a $50M raise in April, the company plans to scale to 200–300 operations staff within 12 months and enter six additional US cities by end of 2027. Manna left Ireland due to inadequate planning regulations and is now targeting the US market to compete with Zipline, Amazon, and Google's Wing. The company uses tether-lowering drones and operates a hybrid delivery-as-a-service model with partners including DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Uber Eats. CEO Bobby Healy credited the Trump administration and FAA with providing regulatory momentum for the industry.
