The Mach Initiative is building Kingchaser, a largely 3D printed transonic radio-controlled jet aiming for Mach 0.8 (about 990 km/h). The airframe uses PETG for heat resistance near the 300 N jet engine, with carbon fiber rods, an aluminum frame, and PPS-CF around the motor. The project follows their earlier PLA jet, Kingfisher, claimed as the first 3D printed jet, and the surface has been polished smooth to minimize skin drag at that speed.
