A YouTuber repairer diagnosed a dead 168 TB Seagate LaCie Thunderbolt 3 RAID array that had belonged to the Slow Mo Guys and refused to power on. With no schematics or repair guide available, the technician traced the failure through the power rails to an NXP LPC11U6x MCU that manages power sequencing, which was waiting on a signal from the SATA backplane fan controllers. The actual culprit turned out to be a single faulty SI2319 P-channel MOSFET near a fan connector. Replacing that cheap component restored power, though the full test awaits reinstalling the drives.
