Lenovo Lands New Watchdog Driver In Linux 7.3 For Their SE30G2 + SE60 Edge AI Computers

Lenovo has contributed a new watchdog driver, lenovo_se30g2_se60_wdt, to the mainline Linux kernel for their ThinkEdge SE30 Gen2 and SE60 edge AI computers. The under-300-line driver hooks into the Linux watchdog framework to reset these systems if they hang or crash, which is especially useful for headless industrial deployments. The SE30 G2 pairs with up to an Intel Core 7 150U while the SE60 uses newer Arrow Lake chips up to Core Ultra 7 256H; both ship with Windows 11 or Ubuntu Linux support. The driver is queued for inclusion in Linux 7.3.
