Patches Posted With Aim To Mainline Linux Kernel Support For The Amazon Kindle 4

Developer Andrii Salivon submitted two patches to the Linux kernel mailing list adding DeviceTree support and bindings for the Amazon Kindle 4 'Yoshi', aiming to get mainline kernel support for the i.MX50-based e-reader. The patches enable booting, console access, and internal eMMC support, and were tested with Arch Linux ARM running systemd on real hardware. Custom distributions like postmarketOS have supported the device for years, but mainline support has been missing until now.
