SteamOS 3.9 Preview Moves To Linux 7.2, KDE Plasma 6.7 Desktop

Valve released the first preview of SteamOS 3.9, updating the Arch Linux package base with several notable upgrades. Desktop Mode now runs KDE Plasma 6.7.3, up from the older 6.4.3, fixing numerous bugs and improving the desktop experience. The system also moves to the Linux 7.2 stable kernel for better hardware support and performance over the previous 6.16 LTS kernel. Other changes include a switch to WPA_Supplicant for WiFi handling, preliminary (not yet UI-exposed) system hibernation support, and improved SteamOS guest VM support with VirtIO graphics acceleration.
