The 2026 curl team

Daniel Stenberg introduces the six-person curl core/security team as of October 2026, highlighting each maintainer's background and contributions: Max Dymond on fuzzing infrastructure, Stefan Eissing on HTTP and the pytest suite, Dan Fandrich on test infrastructure and Test Clutch, James Fuller on CVE handling and curl-container, and Viktor Szakats on build/CI systems and curl-for-win. The post emphasizes curl is a team effort, not a one-person project, noting over 1,545 commit authors and 3,800 people credited in the THANKS file. Joining the core team is invite-only with no formal requirements beyond proven expertise and project presence.
