Notion is axing Notion Mail because half its users never actually used it

Notion is shutting down Notion Mail on September 22nd after discovering that over half of its users never opened the app. The reason: AI agents were handling inbox management so effectively that the human-facing UI became redundant. Users can still automate email via Notion's AI agents or fall back to Gmail directly. Any drafts or scheduled emails created in Notion Mail must be exported or sent before the shutdown date.
