3mdeb Enhancing The UEFI Update Capsules Experience For Open-Source Firmware

3mdeb is improving the UEFI update capsule experience for open-source firmware used by Coreboot and their Dasharo downstream, focusing on LVFS/Fwupd integration, nicer UI/UX during firmware updates, caching RAM training data to speed up first boot after updates, and better error reporting and recovery. These improvements will roll out as targeted motherboards receive new major firmware releases, and 3mdeb is working to upstream the changes to relevant open-source projects. Systems expected to benefit include a Gigabyte AMD EPYC server board and an MSI AM5 desktop board running Dasharo.
