Elastic's InfoSec team built an agentic SOC pipeline that reduces manual alert triage from 30 minutes to under 3 minutes. The pipeline uses deterministic ES|QL queries to close obvious false positives at zero token cost, then routes remaining alerts through specialized AI agents (macOS Forensics, AWS, Azure, GCP, Okta, etc.) that gather forensic evidence without rendering verdicts. A Final Review agent synthesizes all findings into a structured Kibana case with a verdict, recommended actions, and event timeline. The entire system runs on Elastic's native stack — Workflows, Agent Builder, Elastic Inference Service, and Kibana Cases — with no third-party orchestrators. Key design principles include using workflows (not agents) for orchestration to avoid token costs at scale, narrow-scoped agents with methodology-rich prompts for consistency, and strict separation between fact-finding agents and the verdict-rendering Final Review agent.
