Argo CD 3.5 Tightens Supply Chain Security with Internal mTLS and Source Integrity

Argo CD v3.5 release candidate introduces mutual TLS enforcement for internal component communication, closing a long-standing gap where repo-server traffic was unencrypted. Source Integrity validation allows operators to require valid Git commit signatures before syncing, blocking tampered manifests. A new ApplicationSet UI built by engineers from Intuit, Red Hat, GoTo, and Octopus Deploy adds list, filter, detail views, and a Preview Apps tab. Impersonation and Source Hydrator both graduate from alpha to beta, with impersonation now covering all server-side operations for better audit trails in multi-tenant clusters. Additional changes include Helm 4 support, namespace-scoped ApplicationSets, Azure AD Graph API group resolution, and Azure DevOps Service Principal authentication.
