The fix is architectural: keep secrets exclusively in the deterministic execution layer (environment variables or secret managers), never passing them into the LLM's context. Tool schemas should only describe intent and targets; execution handlers fetch credentials at runtime after the LLM has decided what to do. IDE ignore files like .claudeignore are also debunked as a false security boundary — they only prevent proactive file reads, not context injection.
