AVR Laptop Pushes The Limits Of 8-Bit

A hobbyist named Vladimir built a working laptop powered by an ATmega2560 8-bit AVR microcontroller, running a FreeRTOS-based system capable of playing video with sound, running games, and taking notes. The project includes a custom driver for the ST7920 128x64 monochrome LCD, achieving 24fps video playback despite the hardware's severe 8-bit constraints. The code is still pending review before public release, but a demo video shows the device in action.
