Join MySQL Public Discussion #6 and the November Contributor Summit

Oracle is inviting MySQL users, developers, DBAs, and contributors to two upcoming community events: MySQL Public Discussion #6 on October 22, 2026, covering community participation, roadmap transparency, GitHub collaboration, and governance; and a fully online MySQL Contributor Summit on November 4-5, 2026, welcoming technical proposals on topics like AI and vector capabilities, performance, replication, and developer experience. Proposal submissions are due October 19, 2026 via the MySQL Community GitHub repository. The announcement also notes the newly formed MySQL Steering Committee is beginning its work to guide the ecosystem long-term.
