KSMBD Adds SMB2 Compression Support In Linux 7.2

Linux 7.2 brings SMB2 compression support to KSMBD, the in-kernel SMB3 file server. The implementation follows Microsoft's SMB 3.1.1 specification, which introduced native in-transit data compression using algorithms like LZ4, XPRESS/LZ77, and Pattern_V1.
