The Game Boy Test Lab Provides A Cartridge-Sized Diagnostic Lab

A homebrew ROM called GB Test Lab, created by Marcel Pflug of the Game Boy Museum, turns a flash cartridge like an EverDrive into a comprehensive diagnostic tool for the original Game Boy (DMG-01). It tests CPU, RAM, interrupts, key bounce timing, intermittent connectivity, the link cable (via a Pong test between two units), and the GB Printer. Results persist per device if the cartridge has battery backup, and the ROM includes a built-in reference guide for interpreting symptoms and components, going well beyond Nintendo's original DMG-AGING-01 test cartridge.
