The World’s Smallest TV Console Plays DOOM

A maker known as RayTriangle built what may be the world's smallest TV game console that runs DOOM, fitting the entire system including battery inside a TV antenna screw-terminal plug. It uses an ESP32-S3 that communicates with a Bluetooth controller, generates a composite video signal via a resistor-ladder DAC with a lookup table for phase-shifted chroma waveforms, and modulates it onto an RF carrier using the ESP32's clock generator. The design targets PAL TVs with VHF tuners, producing a somewhat noisy but functional signal, with the hardware split across two boards connected by a flexible PCB.
