Copilot code review effort levels are generally available
GitHub Copilot code review now offers two generally available effort levels — Lite and Balanced — replacing the previous Low and Medium labels from public preview. Lite is suited for routine or straightforward changes, while Balanced uses a higher-reasoning model for complex, security-sensitive, or cross-service pull requests. Organization admins can set a default effort level that all repositories inherit, while individual reviews can still override it. The effort level used is now visible in PR timeline events and overview comments.
