How to Turn Frontend Bug Reports into Reproducible Tests

A workflow for turning vague frontend bug reports into reliable regression tests, using a hypothetical responsive settings-dialog overflow bug as a worked example. Covers writing observable failure descriptions, capturing environment context (viewport, device-pixel ratio) via a small JS snapshot helper, using screen recordings to show reproduction steps, pairing recordings with DevTools inspection (Elements, Network, overflow measurement), reducing the reproduction to its minimal conditions, converting the fix into a Playwright test with polling assertions for layout bounds, and preserving diagnostic artifacts like Playwright traces for CI. Mentions VEED as one option for screen recording and video editing.
