Thread Pool in Percona Server and MySQL (Part 2)

Benchmark results compare thread pool performance between Percona Server for MySQL 9.7.1-1 and MySQL Server 26.7.0/9.7.2 across different buffer pool sizes (2G/12G/32G) and connection counts. MySQL 26.7.0 and 9.7.2 perform nearly identically to each other. Percona Server's thread pool significantly outperforms MySQL's when data exceeds buffer capacity (up to 6.2x more TPS at 2560 connections with 2G buffer), while MySQL's thread pool wins when data is fully buffered (32G), achieving 22% higher TPS and ~25% better p95 latency than Percona Server. Percona Server's thread pool is more sensitive to thread_pool_size and thread_pool_oversubscribe tuning and shows benefits starting at lower connection counts (80+) compared to MySQL which only benefits at high connection counts (1280/2560).
