Browser tools for GitHub Copilot in VS Code are generally available
GitHub Copilot's browser tools in VS Code are now generally available. AI agents can drive a real browser to navigate live web apps, click, type, capture console errors, take screenshots, and run scripted flows. Browser tools are enabled by default. Privacy controls ensure user tabs remain private unless explicitly shared, agent tabs run in isolated sessions without access to personal cookies, and sensitive permissions like camera and microphone are blocked. Enterprise admins get a dedicated toggle and allow/deny lists to control which sites agents can access.
