Enginefall developer Red Rover Interactive to cut workforce by 22 roles

Red Rover Interactive, the studio behind upcoming survival game Enginefall, is laying off 22 employees and delaying the game's release to 2027. CEO Fred Richardson cited the need for more development time following Steam Next Fest playtesting, which revealed work still needed on new player experience, performance, and cheat protection. The studio, founded in 2023 and backed by over $20 million in funding including from PUBG developer Krafton, says it is working with a specialist recruiter to support affected staff.
