Why the navigation title moves to the left in iOS 26

In iOS 26, SwiftUI's inline navigation title only stays centered in the navigation bar when there is enough free space between leading and trailing toolbar items; otherwise it shifts to the leading edge or gets truncated to a single letter, while toolbar buttons are never shrunk. This is a change from iOS 17, where the title stayed centered within the free space and the back button's label was dropped first instead of the title text. Developers can keep titles centered by moving less-used actions into a Menu or shortening titles, including longer translations.
