Commodore 128 Becomes Marine Vessel Tracker

A hobbyist project called AIS4CBM turns a Commodore 128 into a live marine vessel tracker by receiving Automatic Identification System (AIS) radio data over a serial connection. The backend uses assembly code to parse AIS reports, while a BASIC 8 front end plots vessel positions on a map and a BASIC 7 interface shows text data. Running it requires a 512 KiB REU RAM expansion, 64 KiB VDC memory, and a SwiftLink-compatible serial interface, with an Ultimate-II+ unit recommended to cover most of these hardware needs.
