Pixelating Composables in Compose Multiplatform

A walkthrough of building Pixelate, a Compose Multiplatform library that pixelates composables (like obscured prices behind a paywall) instead of hiding or blurring them. The author explains the technique: drawing content into a tiny bitmap, scaling it up with smoothing into a second bitmap, then rendering the result at full size without smoothing to produce solid mosaic blocks. Covers block size calculation using content height, cache-based setup with drawWithCache, feathering edges with gradients and saveLayer, a Pixelate composable for pixelating entire subtrees consistently, a minimum safe block ratio to prevent content leakage, and caveats around accessibility (semantics tree still holds the real value) and performance cost in long lists.
