Dragonfly 2.0 Delivers More Performance For This Modern Replacement To Redis & Memcached

Dragonfly 2.0 has been released, marking a major version bump that the project says reflects its maturity, performance, and production readiness. The update expands Redis and Valkey compatibility, adding support for Valkey 9 RDB loading. Performance improvements include reduced connection processing and memory accounting overhead, lower buffering and RDB serialization costs, and configurable burst and cool-down limits for background defragmentation. Dragonfly remains licensed under the Business Source License 1.1 and positions itself as a drop-in replacement for Redis and Memcached.
