SwarmUI is a user-friendly frontend for ComfyUI that makes local AI image generation as simple as Midjourney, without the monthly subscription fee. It installs via a single script on Windows or Linux, automatically downloads models like Stable Diffusion XL or Flux.1 Schnell, and provides a simple Generate tab alongside access to ComfyUI's node-based workflow. Key features include a Grid Generator for parameter comparison, built-in inpainting/outpainting editor, image history browser, and a model browser integrated with Hugging Face and Civitai. It works best on Nvidia GPUs with 8–12 GB VRAM and keeps all generation local with no telemetry or data sharing.
