Acceleration of Curve25519 Field Operations with Java Software and Intrinsics

JDK 27 and JDK 28 early-access builds bring significant performance improvements to Curve25519 field operations, which underpin X25519 key agreement, Ed25519 signatures, and the X25519MLKEM768 post-quantum hybrid key exchange used in TLS 1.3. Software changes in JDK 27 (build 14) boost throughput by 27-54% across these algorithms via larger internal data structures. JDK 28 (build 5) adds x86_64 and AArch64 intrinsics on top, delivering further gains of 7-20% depending on platform and algorithm. These improvements apply automatically to applications using JCE APIs like KeyAgreement, Signature, and KeyPairGenerator, as well as JSSE TLS 1.3 hybrid key exchange.
