AMD Posts New GCC Compiler Patch For Extended Load Optimization

AMD's compiler team submitted a new GCC patch adding SLP-tree analysis to detect load-plus-convert patterns and narrow load vector types so the compiler can use fused extended loads with ZMM registers instead of vextract instructions. The optimization targets general x86_64 code generation, not just Zen-specific paths, and is under review for possible inclusion in GCC 17. No performance benchmarks were included with the patch submission.
