SmallTV Hacking With Surprisingly Little Fuss

A hacker found a way to push custom images and GIFs to the GeekMagic SmallTV device without replacing its firmware or soldering anything, by exploiting its built-in photo viewer feature. A 240x240 image is generated on a networked machine (in this case using Python and the Pillow library to render Claude and Codex usage stats) and pushed to the device over HTTP. The method is a simple, reversible alternative to the more involved firmware-replacement hacks previously covered.
