The 0.8 release of ghc-debug and ghc-debug-brick, developed in collaboration with Mercury, brings streaming of intermediate heap traversal results so large Haskell heaps (even larger than available RAM) can be profiled responsively. The TUI now supports history navigation between past heap traversal results, improved stack frame decoding including underflow frames and InfoTable fixes, and support for stack annotations to help trace complicated computation flows. These changes target anyone performing deep heap inspection of large Haskell processes, and are available now on Hackage.
