Amazon EventBridge now offers an enhanced custom event bus designed for organizations scaling event-driven applications across multiple teams and AWS accounts. A single, centralized bus can be shared org-wide via AWS RAM, eliminating cross-account rules and bus-to-bus routing. New features include ordering guarantees via EventGroupId, synchronous Lambda invocation, a unified Subscriber resource combining filtering, targets, retries, and dead-letter destinations, content-based deduplication for exactly-once semantics, JSONata-based event reshaping, Avro/Protobuf deserialization, and a new ingress/egress throughput pricing model replacing per-event charges. Existing buses remain unchanged as Custom event bus – classic. The enhanced bus is available in a specified set of AWS regions and can be created via console, CLI, or API.

ReactOS merged a major update porting Wine 10.0's DirectX stack, adding 498k lines of new code while removing 119k lines of old hacks. The change lets ReactOS translate DirectX to OpenGL and Vulkan and improves DirectX compatibility on Windows itself, with developer Justin Miller estimating the work unlocks hundreds of previously unplayable games, including Dragon Age: Origins on NT5.x. ReactOS developers also indicated DirectX 10/11/12 game compatibility is now within reach.
